CUMBERLAND — City police investigated a complaint early Monday of a woman who said she was robbed after giving two black men a ride from Front Street to the area of the South Cumberland Library on Seymour Street.
The victim told police she dropped off one man near the library before the second man displayed a handgun and demanded money.
The victim said she gave the man a large sum of money before he left the area. She was not injured, police said.
Police responding to the 2:32 a.m. complaint searched the area without locating the suspect.
