CUMBERLAND — A 9-day-old infant was rushed to the new Western Maryland Regional Medical Center Saturday morning, after his parents found him unresponsive, according to Cumberland Police.
Officers responded to the family’s home in the first block of Virginia Avenue around 9:30 a.m. and found the infant’s father performing CPR, according to police. Officers took over CPR and awaited an ambulance, a police report said.
An investigation has been turned over to the Allegany County Combined Criminal Investigative Unit, police said.
