11/18 - Thirty-eight attend training

CUMBERLAND — Thirty-eight people representing 15 agencies in Allegany, Garrett and Anne Arundel counties took part in a Meth Lab Awareness class Tuesday sponsored by the Allegany County Bureau of Police.

Conducted by Rolf Hill, a retired Drug Enforcement Adminstration officer who is the owner of Hazardous Waste Disposals IDEAS, LLC, the four-hour class featured a basic knowledge of how to recognize and react to a clandestine methamphetamine lab, which are often located in residences, hotel rooms and vehicles.

The training was conducted at the Allegany County Public Safety Building and was paid for by the C3I Narcotics Unit with money seized and forfeited during drug trafficking investigations.
