CUMBERLAND — Cumberland Police apprehended a juvenile in connection with an alleged motor vehicle theft and subsequent chase that occurred early Saturday.
Police said a 2006 Acura was stolen from an Allegany College of Maryland parking lot Friday evening while the victim was at the gym. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the car.
At about 2:13 a.m. Saturday, an officer on routine patrol located the suspect vehicle travelling on Baltimore Avenue. The officer attempted to stop the vehicle at which time a chase ensued on Willowbrook Road.
The vehicle proceeded to Old Willowbrook Road, where the suspect exited the vehicle. After a foot chase, the driver was apprehended by officers and a Cumberland Police dog.
The juvenile was transported to Cumberland Mem-orial Hospital with minor injuries.
