CUMBERLAND — Two city residents, Marlene Marie Soules, 43, and Darrell Thomas Soules, 48, were served with criminal summonses Tuesday, charging them both with misdemeanor theft, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The charges stem from an investigation begun by Cumberland Police on Sept. 11 after a Yale Avenue resident reported his parked vehicle had been entered overnight and clothing and electronics stolen.
Articles of stolen clothing were reportedly recovered from discarded trash outside a Princeton Street home.
A search warrant was executed at the residence, resulting in recovery of the stolen property as well as suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia, all of which was seized, said police.
