10/23 - Clues sought in theft of diaper bag

ACCIDENT — Information is being sought in connection with the theft of a diaper bag outside the Accident Laundromat on South Main Street, Wednesday.

The teal blue bag, containing a camera and medication and baby items, was stolen sometime between 6:30 and 7:19 p.m., Maryland State Police said.

Anyone with information about the theft may call state police at (301) 387-1101. Callers may remain anonymous.

  • 3/19 - Police seek armed robber

    WILEY FORD, W.Va. — Mineral County authorities were searching Thursday evening for a lone suspect who robbed the Knobley Mountain Cafe at gunpoint.
    State police and officers from the Mineral County Sheriff’s Department converged on the cafe, located on alternate Route 28 at Wiley Ford, around 6:10 p.m.
    The suspect, a white man wearing a black ski mask, reportedly brandished a handgun, then fled on foot toward Ridgeley. He was described as wearing ripped jeans and a red flannel shirt.
    Further information was not available Thursday night.
