CUMBERLAND — City firefighters extinguished a fire in a kitchen of an Elm Street residence in the 700 block at about 2 p.m. Friday.
A 911 call brought firefighters to the scene for less than a half-hour.
A department spokesman said the fire was confined to the kitchen.
