CUMBERLAND — A city woman accused of robbing a cab driver was found with the empty money bag under a mattress and then allegedly tried to kick the windows out of the police car when she was arrested by Cumberland Police early Friday morning.
Whitney Nicole Hollingsworth, 24, was charged with robbery, theft under $1,000, second-degree assault and resisting arrest.
The taxi driver told police that at 3:27 a.m. he had picked up a woman on West Industrial Boulevard and she pulled the money bag from his hands after struggling with him. He reported that she ran to a residence in the 500 block, where she was located by police.
Hollingsworth was held in the Allegany County Detention Center without bond.
