CUMBERLAND — A 76-year-old Cumberland woman was injured when she pulled in front of a tractor-trailer on West Industrial Boulevard at Pennsylvania Avenue late Monday morning, according to Cumberland Police.
Police said Virginia Ann Brooks was found at fault but not issued a citation following the 11:43 a.m. accident.
She was taken to Western Maryland Regional Medical Center with a laceration on her forehead by a Cumberland Fire Department ambulance.
The tractor-trailer driver was not injured. Brooks was traveling north on Pennsylvania Avenue and the tractor-trailer was traveling west on West Industrial Boulevard at the time of the crash. Both vehicles sustained heavy damage and were towed.
