MOUNTAIN LAKE PARK — Garrett County sheriff’s deputies arrested a Mountain Lake Park man for assault after seeing a female victim lying at the bottom of a set of stairs complaining of shoulder injuries Thursday just past midnight.
Officers responded to Q Street, where the victim said that Clifford Frank Elliott Jr., 40, had pulled her down the stairs during an argument. Elliott was charged with second-degree assault and was released from the Garrett County Detention Center after posting bond.
The victim was taken to Garrett County Memorial Hospital by Southern Garrett Rescue Squad.
