LONACONING — At least one person was injured Thursday when a truck and an automobile collided on state Route 36 near Georges Creek Elementary School, according to the Allegany County 911 center.
Emergency center dispatchers alerted first-responders to the accident that reportedly took place in the 15600 block of Lower Georges Creek Road southwest at about 4 p.m.
Maryland State Police was also alerted to the accident.
