CUMBERLAND — A city man and his girlfriend were arrested when Cumberland Police investigated a destruction of property complaint early Friday in the 1500 block of Frederick Street.
Police said Frankie Lee Clark, 20, and Chloe Elizabeth Shumaker, 18, were both charged with second-degree assault and resisting arrest. Clark was also charged with destruction of property.
Following bond hearings, Clark was released on $1,000 bail and Shumaker was released on her personal recognizance, pending trial in district court.
Clark was taken into custody after attempting to strike the investigating officer. Shumaker was arrested after she interfered as police were taking her boyfriend into custody, police said.
