CUMBERLAND — A Cumberland man was charged Thursday with setting fire to a vehicle on West Clement Street, the Maryland Fire Marshal’s Office said.
Bo A. Becker, 19, was charged with second-degree arson, second-degree malicious burning and destruction of property.
Cumberland firefighters extinguished the fire that broke out in the rear of a 2000 Dodge Neon.
Investigators said Becker had been in a dispute with the vehicle’s owner and confessed to the crime.
The fire caused about $900 in damages to the vehicle.
Becker was taken to the Allegany County Detention Center where he was being held on $30,000 bond.
