Man charged in firearm complaint - 02/16

FRIENDSVILLE — An alleged domestic assault on Walnut Street on Thursday evening led to the arrest of a 43-year-old Grantsville man, Maryland State Police said.

Scott O. Livengood was charged with first- and second-degree assault, reckless handgun, firearms use in commission of a felony and possession of drug paraphernalia following investigation of the 8:25 p.m. incident.

Livengood remained jailed Friday in the Garrett County Detention Center in lieu of $15,000 bond.

Police said that he allegedly pointed a handgun at the female victim’s head. During investigation, Livengood was found in possession of a glass smoking pipe with suspected marijuana in his front pocket.

Police said the victim did not require medical treatment.
