CUMBERLAND — A city man was arrested Thursday night after he allegedly assaulted a female victim at a residence in the 200 block of Central Avenue, Cumberland Police said.
James Eugene Jones, 23, was charged with second-degree assault and reckless endangerment before he was jailed on $25,000 bond by a district court commissioner.
Officers observed in-juries to the victim during investigation of the 8:30 p.m. complaint. The victim apparently did not require medical treatment.
