CUMBERLAND — A burglar allegedly pointed a gun at a Virginia Avenue resident who confronted him inside his home Sunday afternoon, ac-cording to Cumberland Police.
The victim told police that he heard someone in his apartment at 3:07 p.m. in the 200 block of Virginia Avenue and then saw the man taking a video game from his living room. When the victim took the game away, the suspect threatened him with a handgun but then left.
Once the apartment was locked, the suspect allegedly broke the door and forced his way back in but left again. Police saw Ernest Mack, 19, who lives in the same building, leaving a nearby apartment and identified him as the suspect. He was charged with three counts of burglary, two counts of assault, disorderly conduct, malicious destruction of property and reckless endangerment.
Mack was held in the Allegany County Detention Center on $25,000 bond.
