CUMBERLAND — Two city men were arrested late Friday afternoon when Cumberland Police were called to the 100 block of Springdale Street investigate a drug complaint.
While officers were conducting an on-scene interview, a subject allegedly approached and began to yell at the officers and interfere with the investigation.
A second suspect allegedly interfered with police at the scene before both men were taken into custody.
Arrested were Alonzo G. Butler III, 18, and Rodney L. Merica, 19, on charges of obstructing and hindering a police officer, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and disturbing the peace.
Both men were granted pre-trial release Saturday after each posted $3,000 bond set by a court commissioner.
