Cumberland — CUMBERLAND — Theft of a copper pipe and aluminum from the air conditioning and heating units of a Cumberland church is being investigated by Cumberland Police.
The theft at the Central Assembly of God Church on Bedford Street was reported to police March 9. The incident occurred after the perpetrator(s) gained access to the roof and made forced entry into the HVAC units. The value of the stolen copper and aluminum was estimated at several thousand dollars.
A reward of up to $1,500 is being offered by the Allegany and Mineral County Crime Solvers. Callers do not have to appear in court or give their name. Rewards are paid based on the results derived from the provided information. Crime Solvers may be contacted at (301) 722-4300.
