— CUMBERLAND — A 47-year-old man was taken to the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center late Wednesday after he was allegedly assaulted and robbed while walking on Fourth Street, Cumberland Police said.
The victim apparently suffered a head injury in the incident that was reported shortly after 10 p.m. No information was available concerning his medical condition.
The victim told police that three men who struck him unsuccessfully tried to remove money from his pockets.
