ROMNEY, W.Va. — A 31-year old Romney man pleaded guilty Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Martinsburg to knowing transfer of a short-barreled shotgun.
Ryan Lambert Barnes transferred a Relevation shotgun with no serial number to a confidential informant for $100 in August 2011, according to U.S. Attorney William Ihlenfeld II.
Barnes admitted knowing that the gun was too short and not registered. He is free on bond pending sentencing and faces up to 10 years imprisonment and a $250,000 fine.
