ROCKY GAP — A Dela-ware man was being held on $25,000 bond after Maryland State Police charged him with drug and handgun violations following a traffic stop Tuesday on Interstate 68 near Rocky Gap State Park.
Jack Gordon Jr. of Wil-mington was operating a vehicle westbound and was clocked at 75 mph in a 65 mph zone, police said.
Troopers detected an odor of suspected marijuana inside the vehicle and a search revealed a 9 mm handgun and more than 25 grams of suspected marijuana.
Gordon was charged with possession of CDS, possessing a handgun in a vehicle and illegal possession of a regulated firearm.
A passenger in the vehicle, Christopher Athey, 22, also of Wilmington, was charged with possession of CDS and was being held in the Allegany County Detention Center on $10,000 bond.
