— CUMBERLAND — Alleged assault of a woman early Friday at a Greene Street residence in the 600 block led to the arrest of a 23-year-old city man, Cumberland Police said.
Michael Robert Caswell was charged with second-degree assault and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Following a bond hearing, Caswell was jailed in the Allegany County Detention Center on $3,500 bond.
The arrest was made after police investigated the 12:20 a.m. complaint and observed injuries to the 19-year-old female victim.
