— FROSTBURG — Isabelle O’Rourke, 88, of Lonaconing was taken to the Western Maryland Reginal Medical Center following a two-vehicle accident Tuesday afternoon on state Route 36 near the landfill entrance, according to the Allegany County Bureau of Police.
O’Rourke was treated for injuries that were reportedly not life-threatening. No information was available concerning her medical condition following the 4:35 p.m. crash.
Police said O’Rourke was driving southbound on Route 36 when her vehicle struck a curb south of the landfill entrance. She then crossed the center line and struck a northbound pickup truck operated by Daniel Kearchner, 45, of Hyndman, Pa. Kearchner apparently was not injured.
Frostburg fire and ambulance, Midland Volunteer Fire Company and State Highway Administration also responded.
