OAKLAND — Four people were injured in apparent weather-related accidents early Wednesday evening in Garrett County, according to the county 911 center.
Terry Nobles and Shawn Fazenbaker, both of Oakland, were taken to the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center following a single-vehicle accident at about 7 p.m. on state Route 42 in the Elder Hill area of Friendsville, according to Maryland State Police.
A 2001 Dodge van being driven by Nobles, and also occupied by Fazenbaker, traveled out of control, struck an embankment and overturned.
Police said Nobles and Fazenbaker both suffered apparently minor injuries.
Northern Garrett Rescue Squad and Friendsville Volunteer Fire Department also responded.
About an hour earlier, two people were injured in accident on Bethlehem Road just off Gorman Road, according to the 911 center.
Both victims were taken to Garrett Memorial Hospital.
Southern Rescue Squad and Deer Park Volunteer Fire Department responded.
