Man charged for beating roommate - 02/04

CUMBERLAND — A man was charged with robbery, second-degree assault and destruction of property of less than $500 value Saturday after an altercation at a residence on Arch Street.

Cumberland Police were dispatched to the apartment complex and arrived to find a victim who said that they were beaten and thrown into a glass door by a roommate. The victim also told officers the man took a cell phone and money. Police said their investigation showed the victim had injuries that were consistent with a beating and the victims also had cuts from broken glass in the door.

Police arrested Antonio Jerome Rodney, 30, of Cumberland.

Rodney was being held Sunday on $20,000 bond at the Allegany County Detention Center.
