OAKLAND — One Oakland man was injured and another charged with driving under the influence following a snowmobile crash late Saturday on Mason School Road, according to the Garrett County Sheriff’s Office.
Randall Skeweris of Oakland was injured in the 9:45 p.m. incident and taken to Garrett County Memorial Hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
Police said Skeweris was operating a snowmobile when he struck an embankment along the roadway and was ejected.
He was then struck by a second snowmobile operated by Steven Wotring of Oakland.
Wotring was arrested on charges of driving under the influence and operating an unregistered vehicle on a roadway, police said.
Charges are pending against Skeweris, police said.
