OAKLAND — An Indiana, Pa., man was arrested Tuesday after he allegedly stole jewelry and medications while performing contractual work in a Backbone Mountain residence, according to the Garrett County Sheriff’s Office.
Tyler M. Robbins, 20, was charged with theft from $1,000 to $10,000 and possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
Robbins remained jailed Wednesday at the Garrett County Detention Center on $5,000 bond following bail review in district court.
Police said Robbins allegedly stole jewelry valued at $3,150 and medications worth $50 while working inside the residence late Tuesday afternoon.
The stolen merchandise was recovered at the scene, police said.
