LAVALE — A small fire Tuesday night that damaged the LaVale Plaza laundry was extinguished by employees of an adjacent business, according to the Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office.
The 8:39 p.m. incident resulted in $400 in damage to the structure and $100 to the contents. The fire originated in the interior of the business and was discovered by a passerby.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by Deputy Fire Marshal Jamie Rodeheaver of Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office.
LaVale, Frostburg and Bowling Green volunteer fire companies responded to the scene along with LaVale Rescue Squad.
