OKEECHOBEE, Fla. — Former Frostburg resident and professional bass fisherman J.T. Kenney finished 18th in the FLW Bass Tournament at Lake Okeechobee and pocketed $6,000. That event took place Jan. 27-30.
The winner was Scott Martin of Clewiston, Fla., whose four-day total of 71 pounds, 9 ounces of bass was good for the top prize of $50,000.
Kenney, now a Florida resident, has won the Lake Okeechobee event twice, most recently in 2008 when the top prize was $125,000. He has career earnings of $734,134.
Kenney has finished among the top 10 anglers in 26 tournaments.
