INGRAM, Texas — Revered gun writer John Wootters, author of “Hunting Trophy Deer,” died this past week in Ingram, Texas, according to The Outdoor Pressroom.
Wooters was 84.
The longtime hunting editor for Petersen's Hunting, his credits also included Outdoor Life, Sports Afield, Field & Stream, American Sportsman, Gray's Sporting Journal, American Rifleman, Shooting Times, Guns & Ammo and more.
