The upcoming election is not one between two candidates, or between two parties. It’s more important than that. In a few days, we decide our future way of life.
Will we maintain our freedom and our Constitution, where “We, the People” tell our government what to do, or will our already huge government expand further to the point where it tells us what to do?
Yes, we are that close to losing our freedom, so it really does matter who wins.
Looking back, our president said from the outset he inherited a terrible economy. But, remember that the Democrats controlled both Houses of Congress during the last two years of the Bush administration.
All those economy-damaging big government programs they enacted during those years were endorsed by then-Sen. Barack Obama. And, then, as president, how did he choose to attack the problem? Increase spending! Go figure.
Actually, it’s easy to figure. If the mindset of our President had been examined before he was elected, the voters would have learned that he really doesn’t like our democratic republic.
He would rather have the federal government in control. Voters would have known that he was and is following the blueprint for establishing complete governmental control.
The first rule of that blueprint is to collapse the current government’s economy. He first put forward the multi-billion dollar stimulus package to, supposedly, create jobs. The only thing it did was further drain our economy.
He then proceeded to irresponsibly increase our debt to the tune of $6 trillion! This was done after he had campaigned to cut the debt in half! So, it should be apparent to everyone: rule No. 1 is well on its way to “mission accomplished.”
Another blueprint item is to create class envy. Since day one, he has done everything in his power to encourage class warfare. It’s another tactic to gain re-election.
Other first term agenda items which move us farther to the left, are increased federal regulations on business to stunt job growth, give government the authority to tell an American citizen that “We say you earn too much money, so we’re taking some of it to give to someone else.”
And then there’s Obamacare, which accomplishes two goals of the blueprint: No. 1 it gives government bureaucrats control of your healthcare, and secondly, its cost has now been revised upward, to a staggering $1 trillion).
There are also numerous “executive orders,” which he has signed, bypassing Congress. These were never reported by the major media outlets. Oh, and that’s another blueprint item — gain control of the news media.
During his campaign Obama made a statement which brought chills to freedom loving Americans everywhere. He promised he would “fundamentally change America,” and he is doing just that.
America was founded by a group of individuals, who risked their lives to gain freedom and independence. They drafted a Constitution which has stood the test of time.
The new Americans took their hard-won freedom and independence and through hard work and ingenuity forged the greatest nation this world has ever seen.
They demonstrated that man, coming from the shadows of British government control, and basking in a world of freedom and opportunity was able to achieve greatness.
During the framing of our Constitution, they strove to avoid one pitfall at all costs ... allowing our government to get too large, so much so that they built safeguards into that great document to prevent it. Today, thanks to the liberal left, those safeguards have been whittled away one by one. This will be our last chance to take back our country.

Why are there no answers to these questions?
We currently have the most corrupt administration in the history of the country. Every day more and more lies come from the Obama administration.

Why have the media been silent all this time?
When I read the Cumberland Times-News Editorial this morning, Friday, May 17, entitled, “Outrageous,” I laughed like a kid at a birthday party!

What are chances this much money will be spent on road?
I was intrigued by cost data summarized in reporter Kathy Mellott’s recent article, “Completing southern link of U.S. Route 219 said to be best use of highway funds,” which appeared in the Cumberland Times-News on Tuesday May 14 (Page 1A).
