Well, here we are past Christmas and into the long cold winter months of Allegany County. Now what? There seems to be a belief that AC goes dark in winter.
It doesn’t end in September with Friday After 5 closing and it doesn’t start with May’s Delfest. Great music is alive and well through the winter months, too … courtesy of Tri-State Concerts.
Here is something to consider: Some of the best touring entertainment will be in your hometown in 2013.
If you like oldies Rock n Roll, you will want to see the original 60’s super group, The Lettermen (“Can’t Take My Eyes Off You”), Gary Puckett (Remember The Union Gap Band and “Young Girl”?), and back by popular request, The Ricky Nelson Remembered tour featuring his sons Matthew and Gunnar Nelson (“Hello Mary Lou” fame).
And, Cumberland will also be a stop for Walt Maddox’s Marcels (“Blue Moon”) with Maddox also performing his tribute to 50’s and 60’s crooner, Nat King Cole (“Unforgettable”).
The Legendary Ladies tour featuring Dodie Stevens (“Pink Shoelaces”), Kathy Young (“A Thousand Stars) and Little Peggy March (“I Will Follow Him”) and the rockin’ stage show — The Originators of Rock Tribute to Little Richard and Jerry Lee Lewis (“Good Golly Miss Molly” and “Great Balls of Fire”) complete the six show Legends of Rock n Roll Series.
If country is your thing, Country Music Live! division has 3 single night ticket shows coming to Cumberland in 2013. Tennessee River: A Tribute to Alabama (“Mountain Music”) comes to us from stages of California.
Steve Fairchild returns with his Garth and Friends tribute show featuring special guests for this extended 10th anniversary show. And closing out the 2013 country series will be the return of phenomenal Nashville talent, 7 Bridges: Ultimate EAGLES Experience (“Hotel California”).
Nine great shows that are featured at top venues across the country are coming to your neighborhood. All shows are at Allegany High School auditorium and seats are always reserved upon ordering so those with tickets do not stand in line to get the best seats!
TSC is a volunteer organization that proudly supports the local businesses and draws many music lovers to our area season after season. What happens in Vegas (and many other places) does come to Cumberland!
