Climate scientists say Earth is experiencing rapid warming due to humans irresponsibly pumping huge amounts of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere.
Congress is ready to launch a massive tax and regulatory program that will further weaken our national economy and curtail our liberties. It will also set up a carbon credit exchange under the advisement of Goldman Sachs — the same giant investment house accused of fraud by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and which helped to crash the global economy by recklessly trading in risky sub prime mortgage loans and other bizarre investment derivatives.
We are now finding out the health care program just enacted will cost far more than the original phony actuarial estimate. (New York City anticipates $6.5 billion as its cost of compliance.) No one listened to the people, who knew better.
But wait ... a report from the National Snow and Ice Data Center) in Colorado finds Arctic summer sea ice has increased hy 409,000 square miles, or 26 per cent, since 2007. A summary of summer sea-ice conditions released by the NSID Center reported a substantial expansion of second-year ice (ice thick enough to have persisted through two summers of seasonal melting).
Second-year ice this summer made up 32 per cent of the total ice cover on the Arctic Ocean, compared with 21 per cent in 2007 and 9 per cent in 2008. Furthermore, ice-core drilling and sea ice monitoring indicate there is no large-scale melting of ice over most of Antarctica. Didn't we hear the North Pole was set to disappear by now? Well the fact is it isn't. Can anyone deny we just experienced a record winter snowfall in Dallas?
Interestingly, Mars appears to be enjoying more mild and balmy temperatures. Martian ice caps are shrinking dramatically. NASA said for three Mars summers in a row, deposits of frozen carbon dioxide near Mars' south pole have shrunk from the previous year, suggesting a climate change in progress.
Because a Martian year is approximately twice as long as Earth’s, the shrinking of the Martian polar ice cap has been ongoing for at least six Earth years.
Michael Malin, principal investigator for the Mars Orbiter Camera, said the polar ice cap is shrinking at a prodigious rate. It can't be American manufacturers, fossil fuels or soccer moms driving SUVs that are to blame for ice melting on Mars.
"Given the fact that there are not a lot of anthropogenic greenhouse gas emissions on Mars, and given the fact that new research indicates that 10 to 30 percent estimated conservatively of Earth's recent warming is due to increased solar output, the Martian warming may support that new research," said Pat Michaels, past president of the American Association of State Climatologists.
Back on earth, Prof. Phil Jones, Al Gore's resource for his Nobel Prize winning movie, and a global warming advocate whose observations has fueled world-wide efforts to curb carbon emissions, has had to make a number of startling admissions that should undermine the entire issue of "climate change.' (How Freudian is this new name for global warming? And why the need to change ?)
He admits that in the last 15 years there had been no “statistically significant” warming. Fifteen years, no statical increase in temperature! WOW. He admits the world could have been even warmer during the Middle Ages. Again, there were no medieval moms in SUVs taking the kids to jousting events or hammer throws.
So why move ahead with the Cap and Trade? Global Warming?
Maybe Global Warning is a better term. Earth to Congress: The science is not settled. Stop Cap and Trade.

Court should let Affordable Care Act stand
On March 23, 2010, President Obama signed the Affordable Care Act. Polls have shown that Americans are divided over the law, but when survey respondents are asked about specific provisions they become more supportive.

Invest in downtown area now and keep tourist dollars here
I can understand why plans for a downtown city market and other ideas to stimulate downtown and Canal Place are put on hold due to economic conditions, but now is exactly the time for these initiatives (Commission tables City Market idea,” May 18 Times-News, Page 1A).

Here’s why he prefers the school he’s now attending
School is boring but we all have to go, so choose your school carefully. I attend a Christian school because I don’t have to listen to people cussing, teachers and some class mates are caring, and I’m learning about Christ.
