AUGUSTA, W.Va. — Madalyn M. Iser 88, of Augusta, passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2013 at Hampshire Memorial Hospital.
Born on Nov. 15, 1924 in Augusta, she was the daughter of the late Wardie and Lola Pearl (Haines) Saville.
She was a homemaker, and had worked at National Fruit in Winchester until retiring in December 1990. Until very recently, she lived independently and was a very self-sufficient homemaker.
Madalyn was preceded in death by her husband, Russell E. Iser in 1979 whom she married Dec. 21, 1946. She was also preceded by a son, Delmas Iser; a grandson, Anthony Iser; a great-granddaughter, Alexia Fout Iser; three brothers, Junior, Allean, Carl; and a sister Adine.
Surviving is three sons, Larry Iser and wife Debbie of Capon Bridge, W.Va., Ronald Iser and wife Patty, Michael Iser and wife Leisa all of Augusta; a sister, Juanita Belt of Winchester, Va.; two brothers, Richard Saville of Fredrick, Willard Saville of East Windsor, Conn; seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2013 at 1 p.m. at McKee Funeral Home Chapel, Augusta, with Pastor Tony Baker officiating.
Interment will follow in Augusta Cemetery, Augusta.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
All arrangements are being handled by McKee Funeral Home, Augusta.
