CUMBERLAND — Annie C. Myers, 79, of Cumberland, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012 at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.
Born Sept. 21, 1933 in Westernport, she was the daughter of the late George Soloman McMannis and Mary Catherine (Mumaw) McMannis. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Myers; one sister, Mary Wilkinson; brothers, William McMannis, Robert McMannis, James McMannis, Archie McMannis, Joe McMannis, Roger McMannis Zepp; one grandson, James Wolfe.
Annie was employed by Louise Murphy for over 20 years and assisted with housekeeping. She enjoyed playing bingo, and attended Hi-Rock and Hot Stove Bingo. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Surviving are her daughter, Margaret Wolfe and husband James of Cumberland; one son, Richard Baxter and wife Ana of Venice, Fla.; her brothers, Arnold McMannis and wife Linda of Pennsylvania, Richard McMannis of Cumberland, Cindy McMannis Wilkinson and husband Leroy of Cumberland; grandchildren, Mary McDaniel and husband Eddie, Russell Wolfe and wife Melissa all of Cumberland, Johanna Baxter of Venice; great-grandchildren, Charlie McDaniel, Austin Wolfe, Elania Wolfe, Dillion McDaniel; several nieces and nephews; two special friends, Maxine Shaffer and Carol.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Thursday from noon till 1 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday at 1 p.m. with Pastor Betty Kennedy officiating.
Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Devlin Manor Nursing Home and the staff at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center for their kind care.
