FROSTBURG — Kathleen Filsinger Sine, 79, of Frostburg, died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012 at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown.
Born June 3, 1933 to the parents of William (Bill) Filsinger and Leona Mae (Nelson) Filsinger; she was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, W. Conrad Filsinger, DVM.
Kathleen is a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Frostburg, Daughters of the Nile, Women’s Sportman Club and Castaway Yacht Club. She was a graduate of Beall High School and Frostburg State College; working as a teacher in Allegany County, a real estate agent and a homemaker. Loving her family was the bright spot in her life, along with playing bridge with many groups and enjoying house boating on the Yough-iogheny Lake.
Surviving are her husband of 60 years, Donald J. Sine; children, Dr. Marcia S. Beissell and friend John Hostetler, Bruceton Mills, W.Va., Marty Sine and wife Robyn, Frostburg, Randy Sine, Cocoa Beach, Fla., and Lisa S. Drewry and husband David, Middletown; grandchildren, David G. Drewry III, Benjamin J. Drewry and Heather Cyphert and husband Greg; great–grandchildren, Gregory X. Cyphert and Grant M. Cyphert; a niece, Frances F. Hixon and husband, William (Bill) and their children, JC, Estee and Haley.
Friends and family will be received at Durst Funeral Home P.A., 57 Frost Ave., Frostburg on Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Richard Schoenly officiating.
Interment will be in the Addison Cemetery in Addison, Pa.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Kathleen to the Frostburg Food Pantry.
