FROSTBURG — The FSU Branch of the Quality Deer Management Association wants to acquire deer heads and gut piles from deer taken in Maryland to be used in research projects, according to Tom Lambert, assistant biology professor at Frostburg State University.
To arrange for pickup or drop-off, call any of these numbers: Chris Cochran, 443-350-6279; Katie Zembower, 301-697-8056; Jeff Dean, 443-786-3622; Lindsey Russell, 240-727-3303; Thomas Lambert, 301-687-4167.
“We can even clean the skulls if people want to make European mounts,” Lambert said.
“Research projects are going to look at population age structure, parasite loads, diets and doe lifetime reproduction including breeding dates.”
