KAREN S. SMITH [Keyser, W.Va.]

 

KEYSER, W.Va. — Karen Sue Smith, 60, of Keyser, W.Va., died Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012, at her residence.
Born on July 5, 1951, at Keyser, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Mary Lovene (Funkhouser) Elliott. She was also preceded in death by her husband, G. Donald Smith Jr., on Jan. 12, 2007.
Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and was a member of the Emmanuel Pentecostal Holiness Assembly where she served as a Sunday school teacher. She also enjoyed spending time with the “lights of her life,” her grandchildren.
Surviving are two daughters, Lori Doll and husband Ron, of New Creek, W.Va., and Julie Paugh and husband Bobby, of Keyser; two grandchildren, Kylie Doll, Griffin Paugh and “one on the way”; a sister, Jeannie Gentry, of Westernport; nieces and nephews, Lexi Wilburn, her husband Jamie and their son Jacob, Kaylin Gentry, Jenny Mahosky and husband Mike, Jamie Fairall and wife Jenn, Katy Lanhardt and a number of grandnieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Monday, Feb. 13, 2012, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted in the Emmanuel Pentecostal Holiness Assembly, 231 Newton St., Keyser, on Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2012, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Donna Leatherman and the Rev. Randy Leatherman officiating. Friends may also call at the church one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be in the Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser.
The family requests that memorial contributions be directed to the Emmanuel Pentecostal Holiness Assembly, 231 Newton St., Keyser, WV 26726.
