CATONSVILLE — Elnora Marie (Barclay) Bell, 95, of Catonsville, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013 after a short illness at the Charlestown Retirement Community where she had resided for the past 10 years.
Born Dec. 21, 1917, in Lonaconing, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Veronica Barclay. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph E. Bell, formerly of Westernport; her daughter, Theresa; and brothers, Robert, George, Alex and Garlitz Barclay.
Mrs. Bell was an R.N. graduate of Georgetown University and was always an active member of St. Mary’s Church, Baltimore, Church of the Resurrection, Ellicott City, and Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church, Catonsville.
She and her husband resided in Baltimore, where she was the devoted mother of Mary Jo Correa and her husband, Jose, Charlene Lorenz and her husband John and Christina Jedlanek and her husband Robert. She was the loving grandmother of Jeffrey Klair, Jennifer McDevitt, Cynthia Lorenz, Keith Lorenz, Erin Pelowski and Robert Jedlanek and the dear great-grandmother of Kendall Lee and Hannah Klair and Brayden and Kaitlin Marie McDevitt. Mrs Bell is also survived by four sisters, Adell McAlpine, Tennessee, Kathleen Barclay, Frostburg, Betty Piquet, LaVale and Anna Mae Laymen, Frostburg; and num-erous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013 at 10 a.m. at the chapel at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, LaVale with Father Bernard Finerty, O.F.M.,Cap. officiating. A luncheon will be held at Saint Patrick Church following the service.
