KEYSER, W.Va. — Betty Lee Clise, 88, of Liberty St., Keyser, formerly of Westernport, went to be with the Lord surrounded by her loving family at Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser, on Friday, Jan. 25, 2013.
Born July 27, 1924, in Keyser, she was the daughter of the late Charles B. and Alma G. (Mitter) Enos. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James “Buck” Clise; a daughter, Linda Miller and a brother, Oscar Enos. She was the last survivor of her immediate family.
Betty was a longtime waitress at Green’s Restaurant in Westernport, where she was well known for her famous chili and vegetable soup. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Keyser. Betty was loved and respected by all for her kind heart and great faith. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her great-grandchildren.
She leaves behind a daughter, Marsha Sargent and husband Gary, of Keyser; a son-in-law, Jeff Miller, of Keyser; three granddaughters, Deanna Ludwick and husband “B,” of New Creek, Cari Healy and husband Matt, of New Creek and Lisa Carr and husband Bill, of New Creek; ten great-grandchildren, Destiney, Will, Julia, Haley, Kirstie, Alyvea, Chloe, Graci, Seth and Austyn, and four great-great-grandchildren.
Friends and family will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Monday, Jan. 28, from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, Jan. 29, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. James McCune officiating.
Interment will be in Philos Cemetery, Westernport.
