Together Again
MOUNT SAVAGE — Dorothy Ann (Williams) Uhl, 76, of Mount Savage, died Friday, Jan. 11, 2013 at her residence.
Born Sept. 17, 1936 in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Bradford L. Williams and Bridget Mulligan Williams. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James H. Uhl; a son, Michael Bradford Uhl; a grandson, Nicholas M. Muir; a sister and best friend, Mary Williams McCoy; and two brothers, Frank Williams and James Williams; and special friend and mother-in-law, Thelma Uhl.
Dorothy was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Mount Savage. She was always the most loving and wonderful person to her family and neighbors and always enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren. She spent her time enjoying a good book and the sanctuary of her porch while laughing with friend and family.
Surviving are three daughters, Beverly Uhl Muir and husband Randy, Linda Uhl Myers and husband Arnold, Kristen Uhl Martin and husband Tim; one son, James Uhl and wife Sherri; nine grandchildren, Craig Muir, Lauren Colmer, Dustin Muir, Douglas Meyers and wife Chrissy, Danny Myers and wife Jessica, Melissa Myers, Jimmy Uhl, Josh Uhl, Danielle Dom, Bubby Dom, Carlee Beal, and Braden Martin; four great-grandchildren, Ashlynn Myers, Jaden Brown, Colton Gardelle, and MaKayla Colmer; and two brothers, Buddy Williams and Jackie Williams.
In accordance with her wishes there will be no viewing.
A funeral Mass will be held at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Mount Savage, on Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2012 at 10 a.m. with Father Stephen Fernandes OFM Cap as celebrant.
The family sends special thanks to Dorothy’s son-in-law, Arnold Myers for his tender love and care, and to the WMHS home hospice nurses, Ann, Jeannie, Lori and their aids, Tracy and Barb for their time and care.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed towards WMHS Home Hospice, 12500 Willowbrook Road, Cumberland, MD 21502.
