CUMBERLAND — Mary Virginia “Ginny” Leith, 62, of Cumberland, died on Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.
Born March 8, 1950, in Keyser, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late William Marshall See Sr. and Martha Lee (Liller) See. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Bill See and was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
A graduate of Keyser High School, class of 1968, Ginny attended Potomac State College and graduated from Allegany College of Maryland. Ginny previously worked at S.T. Little Jewelry Company, as well as for several doctors offices in the area, and most recently, Allegany Internal Medicine. She was a member of the former Grace United Methodist Church.
Ginny is survived by her husband of 43 years, George “Herb” Leith, of Cumberland; her children, Martha Ann Leith, of Cumberland, Michael Leith and wife Valerie, of Chaneysville, Pa. and Shannon Leith-Martz and husband Chad, of Cumberland; seven grandchildren, Micah, Jonah, Eli, and Silas Leith and Ellie, Rory, and Casey Martz; a special aunt, Maxine Aikens, of Pennsylvania, as well as several cousins and nieces and nephews.
A committal service will be held at the Maryland Veterans’ Cemetery at Rocky Gap on Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Gary Kennedy and the Rev. Janice Leith officiating.
Interment will be in Maryland Veterans’ Cemetery at Rocky Gap.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in her name to either the Union Rescue Mission, P.O. Box 1614, Cumberland, MD 21501-1614 or the Salvation Army, P.O. Box 2467, Cumberland, MD 21503-2467.
