LAVALE — Denis “Denny” Lynn Delbrook, 58, of LaVale, passed away Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012, at his home.
Born March 7, 1954, in Cumberland, Denny was the son of Wilma C. (Smearman) Delbrook, of Cumberland and the late Stuart Delbrook.
Denny was employed at Friend’s Aware Industries and was a tireless worker. For the past 15 years, Denny resided at the Parkside Assisted Living Unit. He loved to attend church with his mother. Denny also enjoyed dancing, music, bowling and competing in the Special Olympics. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and the Boy Scouts of America Troop 89.
Besides his mother, Dennis is survived by his brother, Dr. Edward Delbrook and wife Dr. Sharon Davis, of West Palm Beach, Fla.; his sister, Janet Day and husband Stephen, of Larchmont, N.Y.; his twin brother, David Roger Delbrook, of Montpelier, Vt.; his nieces, Lori Delbrook, Amy Delbrook and Catherine Day and his nephews, Mark Delbrook and Michael Day.
Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, (www.AdamsFamilyFuneralHome.com) on Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted in the Trinity Lutheran Church on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Eric Ruble officiating. The family will also receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
The family would like to express their heart-felt appreciation to Parkside and Friend’s Aware Industries staff for their constant care and concern.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made in Denny’s name to Friend’s Aware Industries, Post Office Box 60, Cumberland, MD 21501-0060.
