BUFFALO MILLS, Pa. — Eleanor G. Waugerman, 81, of Buffalo Mills, went to be with the Lord Monday, Nov. 12, 2012, at home surrounded by her family.
Born July 6, 1931, in Hyndman, Pa.; she was a daughter of the late Harry and Ardelia (Divelbliss) Tharp. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Smith.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Harry A. Waugerman, whom she married Sept. 22, 1950; children, Cathy Clites and husband John of Buffalo Mills, Sheila Hammond and husband Dave of Greenup, Ky., Karen Bridges of Hyndman, Harry “Allen” Waugerman Jr. and wife Julie of Hyndman, Nanette Winebrenner and husband Kenneth of Grant Town, W.Va., Jennifer Carpenter and husband Chris of Buffalo Mills; nine grandchildren, Kristen and Keith Hammond, Dyani and Col-lee Bridges, Allen Waugerman, Megan Wilburn, Heather Winebrenner, Courtney and Logan Carpenter; nine great-grandchildren, Caleb, Isaiah, Ricky, Cayden, Blayk, Gage, Ceona, Chloee, Rylin; sisters, Helen Turner of Hyndman and Shirley Roberson of Cumberland.
Mrs. Waugerman was a homemaker. She had worked as a telephone operator and at the Kings Department Store. She enjoyed traveling, yard sales and spending time with her family.
Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence St., Hyndman, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Ken Korns officiating.
Burial will follow at Madley Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hyndman Rescue Squad.
