LOCH LYNN — Gypsy Bonnie (Brady) Lane, 100, of Loch Lynn, died Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012 at Goodwill Mennonite Nursing Home of Grantsville.
She was born June 29, 1912 in Newport, Tenn., the daughter of the late Rubin Carter and Nannie (Fowler) Brady.
Gypsy had a passion for gardening and loved crocheting and quilting. She also enjoyed listening to music.
She is survived by seven children, Nancy K. Dove of Camden, S.C., Julia Knox of Loch Lynn, Kenneth Lane and wife Wanda of Hagerstown, D.F. Lane and wife Geri of Marietta, Ga., James P. Lane of Omaha, Neb., Wesley B. Lane and wife Jackie of Port Ritchie, Fla., Glenn Lane and wife Carolyn of Bridgeman, Mich.; her youngest brother, William Brady of Morristown, Tenn.; thirteen grandchildren, Janice Caldwell, Brenda Dunham, Kenneth Lane, Leighann O’Shea, Lynette Stoutenburg, Jamie Lane, Becky Lane, Bradley Lane, Stephen Knox, Deborah Thompson, Jonathan Lane, Andrew Lane and Rachel Dudok; twenty-two great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, James Glen Lane in 1995; a daughter, Mary R. Lane, in 2009; a son, Welton Lane, in 1996; a granddaughter, Bonnie Dove; four sisters and four brothers.
Friends will be received at the Burdock-Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Monday, Nov. 12th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, Nov. 13th at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Roland E. Nairn officiating.
Interment will follow in Garrett County Memorial Gardens.
