FROSTBURG — John Kelly Murray, 57, of Frostburg, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012 at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.
He was born May 7, 1955 in Baltimore, to the late John Charles and Anna Josephine (Kelly) Murray. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his stepfather, Joseph Tiszl.
John was Catholic by faith and attended St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Midland, he also was a member of First English Baptist Church, Frostburg. He was employed at Thompson Gas and formerly worked at Cumberland Electric.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Karen Sue (Kerr) Murray; son, Matthew Murray, Frostburg; daughters, Kathleen Murray, Arlington, Va., Kelli Murray Morris and husband Amel, Westernport; two brothers, Michael Murray and wife Lynne Vernal, Utah, Martin Murray and wife Ann, Fredericksburg, Va.; sister, Ruth Ann Royston and husband Roger, Fredericksburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home P.A. 57 Frost Ave, Frostburg, on Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, Nov. 12, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Saint Michael’s Catholic Church, Frostburg.
John is to be cremated following the services.
