GRANTSVILLE — Duane Hanson “Bear” Durst, 61, of Grantsville, died Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at his residence.
Born Dec. 9, 1951, he was the son of the late Dallas and Beulah (Hare) Durst. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Melvin Durst; and a sister, Joanne Umbel.
Bear was a diesel mechanic for R & M Trucking and Grantsville Truck & Trailer.
He is survived by an uncle, Wayne H. Durst, and a special friend and caregiver, Kelly King, both of Grantsville; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be conducted in the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, on Thursday, March 21, 2013 at 7 p.m. with Pastor Karen Tate officiating.
