GRANTSVILE — Aquilla
Mae (Richter) Oester, 75, of
Keyser’s Ridge, Grantsville,
went to be with her Lord and
Savior, Jesus Christ, Monday,
Nov. 5, 2012 at Western Maryland
Regional Medical Center,
Cumberland.
Born March 8, 1937, in Cove,
she was the daughter of the
late Albert F. and Clara
Pauline (McClintock) Richter.
Aquilla, along with her husband,
owned and operated
Grantsville Feed and Supply,
until retirement in 2001. She
was a member of Trinity
Lutheran Church-Missouri
Synod, Fairhope, Pa. and
enjoyed sewing, embroidery,
cooking, gardening and spending
time with friends and family.
Aquilla was a loving and
devoted wife, mother and
grandmother.
She is survived by her loving
husband of 55 years, Robert A.
Oester; two sons, Rev. David
A. Oester, Oil City, Pa. and
Gary E. Oester and wife,
Belinda (Gribble), Grantsville;
two daughters, Barbara J.
(Oester) Diehl and husband,
Michael, Addison, Pa. and
Linda K. (Oester) Palmer and
husband, Robert, Fredericksburg,
Va.; five grandchildren,
Brittany, Jordan and Adam
Diehl, all of Addison, Jonathan
and Katrina Oester, both of
Grantsville; three brothers,
Earl Richter and wife, Maxine,
Middletown, Ronald Richter
and wife, Gayle, Oakland,
Allen Richter and wife, Linda,
Minerva, Ohio; two sisters,
Elsie (Richter) Hart, Minerva
and Mary (Richter) Lewis and
husband, Roger, Oakland; and
numerous nieces and
nephews.
Friends may be received at
the Newman Funeral Homes,
P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville,
on Thursday from 3 to 8 p.m.
Funeral and graveside services
will be conducted in the
funeral home on Friday, Nov. 9,
2012 at 11 a.m. with Pastor
Paul Yanke officiating. Friends
may call one hour prior to the
services.
Interment will be in the St.
John’s Lutheran, ELCA
Cemetery, Accident.
