FRIENDSVILLE — Margaret
Luellen Umbel, 85, of
Friendsville, died Tuesday,
Nov. 6, 2012, at Frostburg Village
Nursing Home, Frostburg.
Born April 18, 1927, in
Arnold City, Pa., she was the
daughter of the late Norris S.
and Mary Elizabeth (VanSickle)
Fike. She was also preceded
in death by her husband,
Joseph A. Umbel; and a grandson,
Jeffrey.
Mrs. Umbel was a homemaker
and also operated
Grandma’s Day Care for many
years. She was a member of
Selbysport United Methodist
Church and attended Freedom
Chapel.
She is survived by four sons,
Richard A. Umbel, Oakland,
Raymond L. Umbel, Mt. Washington,
Ky., Ronald N. and
Donald H. Umbel, both of
Friendsville; a sister, Jean
Maust, Cleveland, Ohio; six
grandchildren and 12 greatgrandchildren.
Friends will be received at
Newman Funeral Homes, P.A.,
943 Second Ave., Friendsville,
on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7
to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted
in the funeral home on Friday,
Nov. 9, 2012 at 2 p.m. with the
Rev. Philip Smith and the Rev.
Michael Robinson officiating.
Interment will be in the
Steele Cemetery.
