JOPPA — Dennis “Denny” Mullaney Sr., 73, of Joppa, formerly of Cumberland, passed away Tuesday July 17, 2012 in Upper Chesapeake Hospital in BelAir.
He was born June 12, 1939, in Mount Savage, he was the son of the late Thomas B. Mullaney I and Ethel Schmidth Mullaney. Denny was also preceded in death by his son, Marty Mullaney; two brothers, Thomas B. Mullaney II and John C. Mullaney; two sisters, Colleen Mullaney Aaron and Mary Pat Mullaney Hill; two nephews, Thomas B. Mullaney III, William Billy Hill; and one niece, Dawn Colleen Hill.
Denny is survived by his wife, Margaret Mullaney of Joppa; two sons, Dennis Mullaney Jr. and his wife Rachel of Delaware, Scott Mullaney of England; one daughter, Kimberly Mullaney Sandhoff of Norfolk; three grandchildren, Julia Mullaney, Ethan Mullaney of Delaware and Kyle Sandhoff of Norfolk Va.; three brothers, Edward J. Mullaney and his wife Vera of Cumberland, Michael P. Mullaney and his wife Linda of Baltimore, Charles Mullaney and his wife Pat of Ocean Pines; one sister, Margie Hook and her husband George of Cumberland; and many nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Committal Service will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery on Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012 at 1 p.m.
Scarpelli Funeral Home P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, is in charge of the arrangements.
